We’re making clean energy
work for every community

Solstice was created to bridge the gap for the 80% of Americans who cannot put clean energy on their own roof.

We believe that clean energy should benefit every community, not just those with the means to install it themselves. We were founded originally as a nonprofit to bring community solar to underserved households. When we discovered a need for tech advancements to properly subscribe and manage clean energy projects, we launched a for-profit to build the tech the industry lacked.

Today, we’re backed by global investment leader Mitsui to deliver a suite of solutions that expand the benefits of clean energy to more communities.

Our story

From startup to
comprehensive solutions

While our mission to serve communities remains at the core of everything we do, Solstice has grown beyond its roots.

Today Solstice helps households, businesses, and entire municipalities across the country reduce energy costs and support their community members. Our products add more clean energy projects to the grid and extend the benefits of those projects to community members typically locked out of the clean energy market.

Today, Solstice users save more than $3 million annually, all while advancing a more equitable and sustainable energy future for all.
